About

Being Barren is the blog of a 36 year old, married women, trying to conceive her second child since August of 2009.

This is a place I have been able to write all of the dark stuff, getting it off my chest – a great release.

I have an academic background in the biological sciences and education – and my approach to life sometimes mirrors that.  I tend toward knowledge and research.  My emotional side, however, usually plays ahead.

My easily-conceived daughter is perfect and four years old.

My fabulous husband is supportive and wonderful – though his analytical mind sometime clashes with my emotions.

This is our story, told in short vignettes.

  1. Hi there,
Saw your post on the NIAW Resolve website. Loved it. Mine is #20 on the third page.
I wanted to share my website with you http://www.BridgeToBaby.com. It’s my way of helping people as well. Was hoping maybe we could cross promote somehow; post links to each other’s websites.

Here is the link to my NIAW post on my site http://bridgetobaby.com/profiles/blogs/myth-if-you-already-have-onej

Let me know if you are at all interested.

    Thanks,
    Marni

Thank you for putting your thoughts out there. I came across your blog while searching for other people who were like me, who might have some answers on how to get through this.

I can’t say I know exactly how you feel, I don’t have any children, but I have been trying for 2 1/2 years with three miscarriages. I can say that I a lot of what you’ve written rings very true for me, and it made me feel better to know that I’m not the only one dealing with these feelings.

I truly hope you find peace in yourself, whatever the outcome is in your journey.

    xo
